To give a more modern look and feel, update the exterior with new windows, doors, porch, and cladding.   

To also update the interior by removing various walls and chimney breasts to make a number of small rooms into larger open plan rooms.  Also, to create a master suite and look at ways to convert the attic into two bedrooms and a bathroom. 

Hurdles

Planning is the major issue and dealing with the council.  Structural in the removing the walls and chimney breasts causes problems.
