Country House - Grade II*Listed
Brief
This was much more about the project management of the whole refurbishment, as the property was basically collapsing. The listed status, coupled with the desire of the client to keep the internal architectural features, meant we were required to source and oversee the installation of replacements for damaged and completely new areas, to match those that had been there for centuries.
Hurdles
The house had severe structural problems. There was lots of damp and parts had been infested with death watch beetle. Additionally there was a tight budget, as client had not anticipated how bad the structure was.
